Here at Smokey Mac BBQ, we pride ourselves in our quality and service.
We only use the very best meat, which is sourced locally from our award winning butcher. We buy the finest quality meat from the UK, Ireland, USA, Argentina, Australia, and Canada as we believe this is the some of the best meat in the world. For low and slow bbq we tend to use USDA beef as this has a much higher inter-muscular fat content compared to British beef, which is perfect for low and slow. For hot and fast cooking we tend to use British meat as it is mostly grass fed, resulting in a fantastic flavour and we think it show cases some of our spectacular farmers we have over here.
Our bread comes from our award winning baker sourced locally in north London, which consistently produces the very best brioche buns, sourdough bread and many other fantastic products for us. These are delivered to us fresh on the morning of an event for optimum quality.
All of our slow smoked meat is cooked on one of our 4 smokers, 1 of which we had custom built from the USA.
We currently use an absolute beast of a smoker, in the shape of our Humphreys Qube’d beast. Capable of smoking a wide array of meats and side dishes all at once. This enables us to produce consistent bbq each and every time.
We also use 3 Weber smokey mountain 57cm smokers which we can take to events with us. These are fantastic smokers that are portable, have great heat retention and stability.
We also use and would recommend the BBQ Guru products, to help us maintain perfect even cooking temperatures.
