Radlett Christmas Lights switch on
Here is an event we did for the Radlett Christmas Lights switch on with Gino D’acampo.
This was one of our final events of the year in 2015, which was lots of fun. It was described as the ‘Radlett winter fair’ with lots of craft stalls inside the Radlett centre, with reindeer’s outside for children to pet and a huge snow globe for kids to play in. There were actually supposed to be about 6 food stalls but only us and another stall turned up.
This was one windy day and we were determined to make it a success! We had weights on our gazebo legs and had to keep an eye on our products so they didn’t fly away!
As usual we arrived early and by lunchtime we were serving hot American style bbq food to the masses at the Radlett christmas lights. We had quite a varied menu on that day as we were testing out some newer items to see what went down well. We had on the menu; pulled pork, pulled beef, brisket, beef ribs and mac & cheese.
The food was a real hit and we had a steady flow of people all afternoon. This was a great day for young families as they could come with their children and have a go in the snow globe, see the festive reindeers and then come have a fantastic lunch before going home.
Of course lots of people returned in the evening as tv chef and funny man Gino D’acampo was there to turn on the lights. As soon as Gino turned up the people went crazy, especially the women! He was there cracking jokes to the crowd and just being Gino, which people loved.
After the formalities Gino and his son came over to our stall eager to try our food, it was great meeting Gino, as well as the “fantastico” feedback he gave us!
